Andrea Holden Thanksgiving Racing
This popular community benefit Run/Walk welcomes all and is held each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The race is in memory of Andrea Holden All funds raised go to benefit the health and well-being of children in the Mid-Cape Area.

Founded
in 1993, Dream Day on Cape Cod is a non-profit organization with a mission
of "bringing a ray of sunshine into the lives of seriously ill children
and their families". It was born in the dreams of a man who, while struggling
with cancer himself, helped children facing life-threatening illnesses by
giving them a respite from the world of hospitals and treatments where they
could enjoy the peace and tranquillity of nature. Tim Falvey originally
founded "Dream Day on the Sound" in Connecticut and before he died in May
1993 he had hoped there would be other Dream Days. That same year, Margaret
Kennedy created Dream Day on Cape Cod in tribute to her friend's dream and
with the belief that:
With faith in God,
hope for the future and love in our hearts,
we can make a difference.
Today, Dream Day
on Cape Cod is still dedicated to the special children it serves. Through
its Summer Program and Dream Day Family Events, Dream Day provides a fun
and peaceful haven where friends are made and memories cherished for the
children and their families.
