The 37th Annual Cape Cod Classic Fishing Tournament

Friday and Saturday, July 19 and 20, 2024 at Northside Marina in Sesuit Harbor, East Dennis, MA

Blow date July 26 and 27

Captains Meeting 7 pm on Thursday, July 18. Hors d’oeuvres and open bar, rules review and registration bags, tournament shirts, food tickets, and more

 

Prizes

All adult boats: First prize $2,500, second prize $500

Family boats: First prize $1,500 cash and a weekend at our camp for 50 people, second prize $500

Other prize categories include Children, Women & Men

All entries receive tournament t-shirts

 

Entry Fees

$565 if paid before July 10, 2024, $600 if paid after July 10, 2024
Includes captain and three crew members. Additional crew members $70 each

Rules

1. Unlimited Tackle.

2. Any attempt to increase the weight of the fish will result in immediate disqualification.

3. All Bluefish are to be weighed at official weigh station at Northside Marina.

4. Fishing hours are from 5:00 am July 19th to 4:00 pm July 20.

5. The tournament channel will be 71 VHF.

6. Anglers with fish hooked up, but not boated, by 4:00 pm Saturday, July 20 must notify Committee Boat.

7. Weather committee makes the final decision on fishability based upon current conditions & NOAA forecasts.

8. Fishing may be stopped, delayed, or postponed. Please listen for announcements on CH. 71 during high wind conditions.

9. Rules committee settles all disputes. Protests must be filed in writing no later than 4:00 pm Saturday.

10. Weigh station will be open from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday.

11. All boats must be prepared to weigh their Bluefish and or have sent their Striped Bass entries no later than 5:00 pm Saturday.

12. Fish weighed must be tagged identifying the angler. No untagged fish will be weighed or entered. Tags are provided in your captain's bag.

13. Boat/team prizes are the total points of three fish one of which must be a bluefish.

14. All Adult and Family categories have the following prizes categories; first place team/boat; first & second place Bass—Kids, Women’s & Men’s. First and second place Bluefish—Kids, Women’s & Men’s.

15. A fish is to be entered in one category at weigh-in. Once entered its category can not be changed. Any fish weighed in the second day may replace and supersede a previously entered fish. Fish points are not announced.

16. Cape Cod Classic Fishing Tournament is a recreational tournament abiding by Massachusetts Recreational Saltwater Fishing Rules which require a saltwater license for ages 16 and over. This license is obtainable at www. mass.gov/marinefisheries or call 866-703-1925

17. Children under 7 years of age are not eligible for prizes. Prizes for ages 7 through 16 will consist of trophies.

18. Massachusetts limits Bluefish to three per angler no minimum length daily. Bass 1 per angler 28” to <31”

19. Striped bass are to be measured not weighed. Each boat will be supplied with a measuring device and an identifier card for each day. Your tournament-registered phone will be used to photograph each bass. The photo must include the card, fish, and measuring device.

20. Each photo is to be sent to 774-216-0990. You will receive an acknowledgment for each photo/entry. With each photo text the name of the angler.

21. The rules committee uses its best judgment to calculate the measurement and assign points for each fish. Bluefish weight will also be assigned points.

22. Each boat captain is responsible for entering their boat's entries into categories during weigh-in hours.

23. The first day's entries end at 6:00 pm. Any entries after 6:00 pm will be a second-day entry.
